A citys hotels are its guest bedrooms. As such, our hotels are comfortable, cared for, conveniently located, and flexible and durable to withstand revolving (and sometimes unruly) occupants. Like our historic hotels, oftentimes our most cherished buildings, the architecture of hospitality should be permanent, sturdy, durable, and graceful. Especially given the contemporary desire to transform old hotels into grand renovation projects such as lofts and contemporary offices, our new hotels should be built with a permanence that encourages later reuse when the life of the hotel is over.
